Still tinkering with the settings of the Sony A6000 and today I wanted to learn more about the focus settings. Since I love taking pictures of my 2 dogs, I needed to learn the auto focus settings for moving object.... I set it to Continuos Focusing Mode which is AF-C with the focus area being wide. I was still having a bit of a problem getting it to focus specifically on my dog's eyes.... This one focused more on Riley's nose...still cute if you ask me...of course I am a bit biased... What I actually had to do was to turn off the face recognition feature and turn on Center Lock-On Auto Focus.... There I was able to choose a specific point to focus on....this is better.... You can see that it is focused on the eyes and not the nose like the last picture Not too big of a difference I guess but, for me, it is important to be able to focus on the eyes....for more impact... Here are the rest photos I took after I got the settings down...also added +3 in ex...
I am a photographer and this is the space i can talk freely about what I have been up to. Posting here will help to inspire me to take time to pause and look at the beauty and possibilities in every moment of life and capturing them in a photograph.
