After a Loooong Haitus...

So, it has been years since I've actually picked up a camera. Of course I have my cellphone camera but, it's just a common snapshot that I like to take. I just haven't been in the mood for any artsy shots. I lost my passion for photography. But lately, an ember has started to glow...

And here I am now, new camera in hand and try to re-learn all the techniques from manyyyy ages ago...

Well, first up, get used to the new cam....my hubby and I decided to do a shift from our favorite camera brand, Nikon to a mirrorless one...Sony. We would have loved to go with the A7 full frame camera...but it is currently out of our budget. So instead, we decided to buy the Sony A6000. We read and heard many good reveiws about it and this will be the camera I will use to get back into the photography groove....

My first step is to get used to the camera....I don't know why but I am sort of shying away from pressing the shutter to the camera. I have a fear that every picture I capture must be beautiful and perfect. I need to get passed that in order to actually start learning and getting to the point that every picture I DO take IS beautiful. But I need practice, practice practice. So I have set out to take the camera out at least 3-4 times a week and practice shooting.

I started this today...my FIRST photoshoot....and I chose some models that I am very sure are NON judgemental... my two beautiful golden retrievers, Charley and Riley.

Charley seemed to be a bit shy and sort of didn't want his picture taken. But Riley was a born model...

These are my favorites....

After all that play, its time to rest.....

Till next time....

TINA | OUTDOOR CLASSIC BEAUTY PORTRAIT SESSION

"When I admire the wonders of a sunset or the beauty of the moon, my soul expands i the worship of the creator." -Mahatma Ghandi My favorite time to shoot is at sunset...the golden hour as they call it. It was a fortunate event when I was shooting Tina that we found a sun-kissed area with its golden rays illuminating her hair. A lot of people shy away from shooting towards the sun ...saying that its harsh... Yes if it is high noon, the sun has a harsh quality but at the golden hour, it lights up the model and gives their hair an amazing glow... Just look at Tina here at golden hour.... Here is her album: TINA To schedule a  Classic Beauty Portrait Sessions,  you may send me a message on my facebook page:  https://www.facebook.com/EarthlyVisionz/ Smile and Stay Beautiful...Happy Shooting...

Annloraine Open Shoot

So a few weeks ago my husband and I attended an open shoot at Parks and Wildlife in QC. It was our first openshoot and we actually had a lot of fun. Our first model was Annloraine. It was really nice taking pictures of her because she already knew how to pose...no need to direct her on what poses would look good. Here are some of our best shots...
