Beauty & Possibilities - My Photography Journey

The first time I actually saw Zeszie was in another shoot by the group SayCheese... I wasn't attending their event at the time but I saw some photographers taking her photos. The first thing that came to my mind was how pretty she is and what a unique individual seems to be. I loved the platinum hair color she had, thinking how i always wanted hair like that. I hoped that one of these days I would be able to have a shoot with her as well. Well, fortunately my wish came true, as this is the second time I was able to photograph Zeszie. The first was a winter themed shoot and now this florals shoot. What stands out most when I photograph Zeszie is how natural and at ease she poses. It was a fortunate event when I was shooting Tina that we found a sun-kissed area with its golden rays illuminating her hair. A lot of people shy away from shooting towards the sun ...saying that its harsh... Yes if it is high noon, the sun has a harsh quality but at the golden hour, it lights up the model and gives their hair an amazing glow... Just look at Tina here at golden hour.... I took photos of Ms Charamaine who is also best friends with another model in the group, Ms Gym Gym. Charamaine has such a classic beauty..the curve of her chin, how the wind plays gently with her hair and especially her captivating eyes..it reminds me of the classic glamour photos. She is indeed beautiful!! Gym Gym was a natural at modeling...she is part of the basic modelling workshop session 1 but when I took her pictures I would never guessed that she is new at it. Her moves are natural and very relaxed...what a joy to photograph! When I saw these two ladies, I thought I was having double vision...they actually aren't twins but they sure do look a lot a like. These ladies also joined the Basic Modelling workshop 1 which was held this past June 18. I might have mentioned before that i was attending an openshoot this weekend....I wasn't sure yet if i would because of the back log i have in editing but it was such a great theme...one of my favorite styles of photography....a "WINTER SNOW QUEEN" theme.... So I just couldn't say no... The event was on Saturday, June 25, 2016 and it was organized by Ms Elaine Lingad Quiapon. She had her team of makeup artist, Ms. April Geres Yap and hairstylist Ms. Riz De Leon Camangian. The shoot was in the "all famous" QC parks and wildlife where a whole lot of openshoots, prenup shoots and other kind of shoots are "usually" held. Luckily I live a hop and a skip away. I arrived there at around 11 and the models were all getting spruced up and pretty. I was very impressed with the makeup done on all the models as well as the hair. Some of the models brought their own props like furry coats that definitely would add to the overall theme of the shoot. It was ...

This model certainly has that down...she is awesome at projecting.... Yet, what I love about shooting her is her smile... it also has that mystery like you just want to know what mischievous plan is she brewing up now... very lovely... "Beauty might bring Happiness...But Happiness ALWAYS brings Beauty!" What a fortunate thing it was that I was able to take photos of miss Rogelyn...She is just gorgeous. Actually, she was in a different event and i thought she was one of the models from our event. Still tinkering with the settings of the Sony A6000 and today I wanted to learn more about the focus settings. Since I love taking pictures of my 2 dogs, I needed to learn the auto focus settings for moving object.... I set it to Continuos Focusing Mode which is AF-C  with the focus area being wide. I was still having a bit of a problem getting it to focus specifically on my dog's eyes.... This one focused more on Riley's nose...still cute if you ask me...of course I am a bit biased... What I actually had to do was to turn off the face recognition feature and turn on Center Lock-On Auto Focus.... There I was able to choose a specific point to focus on....this is better.... You can see that it is focused on the eyes and not the nose like the last picture Not too big of a difference I guess but, for me, it is important to be able to focus on the eyes....for more impact...
