Winter Snow Queen | Conceptual Portrait Session

I might have mentioned before that i was attending an openshoot this weekend....I wasn't sure yet if i would because of the back log i have in editing but it was such a great theme...one of my favorite styles of photography....a "WINTER SNOW QUEEN" theme.... So I just couldn't say no...

The event was on Saturday, June 25, 2016 and it was organized by Ms Elaine Lingad Quiapon. She had her team of makeup artist, Ms. April Geres Yap and hairstylist Ms. Riz De Leon Camangian. The shoot was in the "all famous" QC parks and wildlife where a whole lot of openshoots, prenup shoots and other kind of shoots are "usually" held. Luckily I live a hop and a skip away.

I arrived there at around 11 and the models were all getting spruced up and pretty. I was very impressed with the makeup done on all the models as well as the hair. Some of the models brought their own props like furry coats that definitely would add to the overall theme of the shoot.

It was funny how hot it was though but I had to think of snow and cold weather to get the kind of photos that I imagined for this concept...

As always, after a shoot, I do teasers for the models a day or two after...so these are my teasers...

I have to go back to editing last weeks clients before i continue on with these...lots of backlog, but I'm happy...

PATRICIA | OUTDOOR BEAUTY PORTRAIT SESSION

"A warm smile is the universal language of kindness " - William Arthur Ward Most of the times, we want models to have a far away serious pose..it gives the photograph mystery and drama. This model certainly has that down...she is awesome at projecting.... Yet, what I love about shooting her is her smile... it also has that mystery like you just want to know what mischievous plan is she brewing up now... very lovely... Here is Patricia from the Basic modelling workshop on June18, 2016 PATRICIA https://www.facebook.com/369708589743959/photos/?tab=album&album_id=1057573924290752 For Classic Beauty Portrait Sessions, you may send me a message on my facebook page:  https://www.facebook.com/EarthlyVisionz/ Smile and Stay Beautiful...Happy Shooting...

Week 3 Catch Up - Shades of Grey

I am almost all caught up with the themes. I have the next 2 themes ready and just need to post them here on my blog.  So, this post is a catch up for week 3, Shades of Grey. I love taking sky pictures because of the beautiful colors. I decided, though, that this photo still looks great in black and white because of the brilliant sun. So here's my submission for the theme.... This was taken on January 31, 2011 at Villa Escudero. Taken with Samsung GT-I8000 (cellphone) F-stop f/2.8 Exposure time 1/16384 sec ISO-50 Edited with Picasa 3 - made black & white, adjusted tuning I also wanted to post a picture that my hubby took that also works with the Shades of Grey Theme....it's my sister-in-law's Dog (Zoey's) best friend...."Cat" (aka 'Ket")..... I'm still trying to convince hubby to join in with the photo challenges....

MCP Project 52 Photo Challenge

This year I have joined several challenges....a crafting challenge...a jewelry challenge... and now I am officially joining a photography challenge. I've actually wanted to come up with a theme for each week and host a challenge myself. However, this has proven to be a difficult task to handle. So instead, I am joining the folks at MCP Project 52. They are currently on week 4...so I am already late. I do want to catch up, though because after scanning through the past themes, I found them quite engaging. So, this blog was created to display my photos and tell you a bit more about why I decided to take them....If you'd like to join in, stop by the website . Anybody can join at anytime!
